Pool access room was great

Staff, breakfast variety and location were excellent.

Pool is very good (and longer than most) but could have been cleaner. Bottom of the pool was not cleaned during my stay.

We had a direct access pool room, highly recommend it. The resort is superbly maintained and the staff are amazing. Do yourself a favour and visit the spa on the property, situated in such a tranquil setting. This is our second visit to this hotel and has become a family favourite. It is such good value for money in the low season, highly recommend it.

I love this place it’s amazing

Amazing value for money (I booked in low season last minute whilst backpacking for a treat as the value was too good to miss). Beautiful comfortable rooms with character. Great location for the beach and restaurants. Nice bathrooms. Good food for room service. Beautiful resort to walk around. Staff were helpful with booking trips and taxis.

There weren't aways many veggie Thai options and breakfast but loads of fruit, juices, pastries etc and still very good.

Friendliness of the staff, especially Goog, always a warm welcome when entering the room. James was an excellent pool barman, too. Nice and quiet location but not too far from anything. Stayed in the adult only wing.

Great comfy beds. We had a pool access room and it was great to just slip in from your room. Pool was a great temperature and there were lots of breakfast options. Close restaurants and shops.

Position, breakfast and villa.

After booking Oriental we were unable to go there, as of remodelling pool. This is a adults only hotel, and this is why we booked. But after arriving and being told we were upgraded and had to stay at the sister hotel next door The Bhundari in a villa. Very nice though I would have liked further notice of intention to change our booking. 48 hrs via email after cancellation not valid. I was very disappointed. Management issues were ongoing, and not one came to explain the issue with us! Instead left it up to the concierge front desk attendants whom all seemed a bit confused and worried. The young men were helpful and polite but for the female staff on front counter! I’ve had better help from children that DO smile and if your in the job your supposed to do? Customer services do it properly and with honesty and integrity. They do need a manager on duty at all times! I did not see anyone in uniform over 21. Would I return , not really I’d try some where else. And I visit yearly.

This was my second stay. I have no idea how the hotel managed to literally fall apart in one year. Genuinely surprised by the recent positive reviews. Even during my first "good" stay, some of the staff had a cold and better-than-though attitude but the hotel was so enjoyable, I decided to give it a second chance. What I got this time round was: Old swimming pool, old loud air-cons with no remote controls that kept me up all night and occasional buzzing flies eating my tasty breakfast with me. Even the lovely spa was malfunctioning. The sauna floor was flooded when I went there, the water reached up to my ankles! Ageing facilities aside – they are planning on renovating this summer – my experience at this place was horrible. What upset me the most: After a 13 hour flight I was desperately in need of a good night's sleep. I obviously put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door. I was rudely awoken two hours later by the staff who brought me fruit??! They tried to get in to an obviously dark and quiet room but they didn't have the key or something. They then called the senior staff to open the door and literally broke in chatting and plunked the tray with fruit on my table, with me sitting up in my bed, blinking and shocked! They didn't apologise. I couldn't sleep after that and was jet legged for days. I used their room service two nights in a row and the second night I called, someone at the reception made a joke: Oh, the lonely lady is hungry again??? Seriously? Unprofessional. Perhaps, it's solely for couples but then the hotel – which doesn't allow kids – should just say so, instead of tolerating you for your own money. Oh, and on top of all that, they double charged me.

* Pool access room with balcony was great could just slip into the pool whenever. * Cute beach with swing & good sunset 2 mins walk away * Lots of local massages close by * peaceful environment for sunbathing / reading / lounging * staff are absolutely fantasic, any issues were immediately resolved by christine at reception with a smile. All the staff always smiled & said good morning & remembered little things about us to make a very personal stay * monday night bbq night at the resteraunt was good and tasty (big whole fish & steaks) We would definately stay here again & would reccomend to others especially for the price!

Only slight negative is the thai food at the resteraunt is not very spicy / authentic but the breakfast was AMAZING & resteraunt staff were always lovely and very attentive

The breakfast was fantastic every morning , so much variety. Our room had a balcony at the poolside so we could get in when we wanted, deffo worth asking for this! The rooms were spotless, the spa was fabulous - the whole stay was excellent. We were in this area a year ago and were disappointed we couldn’t book in to the hotel we stayed in last time as it was so nice but this hotel and the staff were streets ahead. Wonderful place and wonderful stay!

Very little I can say I didn’t like, the walk up to the town is a bit of a pain if like me you are sensitive to mosquito bites - that’s not the fault of the hotel

It’s a very clean and quiet hotel very comfortably location. Bed, towels and bathroom were exceptionally clean and we had dull set of already preset amenities including slippers and bathrobe. Room was spacious and and airy. AC worked perfectly. We had a room with pool access, and were very excited to spend some time on our little balcony and then just jump into the pool. It wasn’t just comfortable but also beautiful. Main pool was beautiful and had three sections of different depth and size. Breakfast was very good, had selection of western and Asian food, also a good variety of tropical fruits. Everything one might need for the breakfast was there.

Nothing really. Nothing that bothered us , was missing or was uncomfortable. Maybe one thing would be useful to mention - that it’s not wheelchair friendly, as we’ve seen only stairs all over the property and by the main entrance.

This Hotel is nice enough but room we were in did not suit our requirements,in bottom corner of hotel and we had problem with Hot Water,Staff had to fit new part after a few days.

Concept of hotel is just perfect. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beach is very close.

Roof is not long enough to cover all balcony on the first floor so that results in complete wet balcony floor and not ability to sit there if it rains.

, pillows could be more comfortable. I would like to be able to sit near pool and not be surrounded by smokers. Suggest a non smoking area , so all can enjoy their time by the pool

- The first room i was given smelt damp, the second one that I was offered was worse, the third was fine but then the compromise was 2 beds instead of a big one. - I couldn't have coke light before 10:30 when the pool bar opened. - It was a struggle to find the technique to get hot water in the shower. - Had to switch wifi depending on where you are on the grounds. - I left 3 nights earlier than intended - that should say a bit!

Good size bedrooms. Excellent pool. Friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Big choice for breakfast ! 5 minute walk to beach. 10 minute walk to main road with all the restaurants and shops. Would stay again for sure. Maybe very busy during the high season. Stay just before or after high season?

Beach and a few places need cleaning up. Very rocky beaches be careful !
